| have you considered anything other than a hotel /motel? |
It is a well known fact that around 40-50 million visitors a year travel to ORLANDO in Florida with a view to visiting the major theme parks. Most visitors consider that the hotel/motel is the only answer to their vacation accommodation and simple book these without considering the options.
The hotel/motel is fine and can be cheap places to rent on the face of iy but what do you actually get in most motels and hotels. The answer is variable but generally speaking the base cost of a motel room say in a three star motel is fast approcahing $100 per night plus taxes with the room measuring say aroundf 15 by 15 sleeping maybe 4 or 5 people measuring with barely adequate closets, a snall fridge and maybe a kettle. If you are lucky you will have a room slightly away from a 24 hour car park and, for luxury, maybe a shared pool with a limited number of seats and relaxation areas.
Well may peopel are now discovering a great alternative-- privately owned vacation rental homes.
My own home which is just 3 miles from DISNEY has 1900 sq ft of luxury accommodation, its own private and secluded large pool with spa and is fully licensed by the Tourist board and fully insured. It sleeps upto 7 people witha king bed, queen bed and twins not to mention baby cots/cribs etc. A large double garage to park the car with full kitchen and laundry facilities.
And the cost-- well you would be amazed-- for a family of 6 just $125 per night is the average--yes--that is less than $25 per night per person.
